To attain an overall natural lifestyle utilizing alternative health options, eco-friendly products, minimizing consumption, and cleaner eating, there are 3 steps to help you transition to this way of living easier and more successfully.
There comes a time in all our lives that causes you to stop and wonder if you could help make a difference.
For me, that time was hiking through garbage in the Hawaiian mountains, observing the homeless caused by opioid addiction, and obesity slowing my friends and family down.
The smallest changes can lead to the biggest differences. It is the little things.
Picking up one plastic bag on the beach could save a sea turtle or adding one vegetable serving a day could save your life.
Whatever your moment was that triggered your mind that a change in your habits was needed, it’s never that easy to make changes.
The changes you may be hoping for could be:
- Recycling
- Using biodegradable products
- Using less energy or more renewable energy
- Cutting out conventional medicine and switching to Natural alternative medicine
- Trading out conventional beauty products for natural organic personal care
- Minimizing clutter
- Reducing stress
- Removing television
- Becoming more active
- New food diet and meal planning
- Gardening and growing your own food
The list could go on with common changes we desire to make from a conventional lifestyle to an alternative method using natural products and being mindful of the environment.
The problem lies within how your mind handles the list that could grow once you start discovering ways you could be helping yourself and the environment in your daily living. All of a sudden it could seem like too much and you’re only one person who now can’t make a difference.
I am here to help you tackle those natural changes you want to make on your list leaving you feeling that you are making a difference and the changes do not have to be done in one moments time making you revert to the old ways giving up on natural living failing to make the right adjustments at the right time.

Success in lifestyle changes starts with the correct mindset.
The trick is to decide on a change with one small adjustment in your daily routine then follow 3 steps leading you to slowly and smoothly test out the change and commit to it like it was naturally there all along.
I started my natural transition with making my own mosquito repellent, then facewash, then natural toothpaste, etc..
Personal care changes are small enough to experiment with but big enough to notice a difference between conventional care products and natural care products.
Noticing the difference triggers the right mindset needed to continue with bigger changes.
Big or small, you will need to follow these 3 steps for each change or else the smallest change will feel too big. Trust me, I could never try oil pulling or brushing my teeth with a stick and continue with it daily from using crest and strong mouthwash. Now natural oral care sounds like a big change!
It won’t sound as big if you take it in steps. Here are the 3 steps to make those changes seem smaller:
Step 1: Recognize there are alternative options in every way you live your life that could be more beneficial.
Step 2: Try new things, research, and experiment. Find natural products to replace conventional products. If it’s a new process for quality of life, make a plan for the change before you make the change completely. Test changes out, there are many options to choose from and not every way works for everyone.
Step 3: Throw out the natural products and start making them homemade. Choose a method and include the new method in your daily routine.
One reason people fail to live a more natural life is that they only tried one way that didn’t work for them and they were done with the idea.
There are also many risks involved. A new way of life takes some research and education.
Here are some resources to get started on your new natural living choices:
- Top 10 Ayurvedic resources: Learning the balance of life from ancient medicine
- 7 deadly essential oils: When home remedies go WRONG

Remember the second step is to try new things and experiment to figure out what works better for you with the continued mindset of making a change better for your health and the environment.
Conclusion:
Some changes will be easier than others and use the 3 step method to get your mind in the right place.
Natural living has many benefits but also comes with risks making Step 2 so important.
