The CBD Controversy in American Medicine

Misconceptions have clouded American’s judgment many times in our history.  It happens when there is a hint of fear or there are hidden agenda’s to keep true knowledge secret.  There are many fears to face when practicing medicine and many agenda’s to fight through to get the best health treatment.  One medicine stands out most that have been pushed back by business competition and a misconception that needs to be made clear.  That medicine is CBD oil and the misconception is that it contains the mind-altering chemical THC making it unsafe and illegal to use.

What is CBD oil and why is it controversial in medicine today?

CBD oil comes from the Cannabis sativa plant.  CBD or cannabidiol is a chemical compound extracted from the hemp parts of the plant.  Manufactures grow a strain of Cannabis sativa plant that is high in CBDs and very low in THC (less than 0.3%.  THC comes from the same type of plant but a different strain that is bred to have higher amounts of THC.  THC is the chemical that gives you that “high” and is also an illegal mind-altering substance in some states.  We will get more into that soon.

Because the hemp plant bread for hemp products and CBD oil may contain less than 0.3% THC, this makes the CBD oil controversial involving legal medicine.  Marijuana that people smoke contains around 10-30% THC concentration.  Less than 0.3% will unlikely give you any feeling of that “high”.

As the popularity and support for CBD and medical marijuana grows, the less legal issues patients will run into.  THC also has medical benefits.  The Cannabis sativa plant is really a miracle plant and does not deserve the bad rep it has been given here in America.

What diseases can CBD oil treat?

  • multiple sclerosis
  • neurodegenerative disorders (Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, Tourette’s syndrome, Alzheimer’s disease)
  • epilepsy
  • glaucoma
  • osteoporosis
  • schizophrenia
  • cardiovascular disorders
  • cancer
  • obesity
  • anorexia
  • emesis
  • pain
  • migraines
  • inflammation
  • metabolic syndrome-related disorders

That list is just to name a few.  CBD oil can treat many ailments and diseases.  You may be wondering how CBDs help heal your body?  Due to the legal barriers, scientists have only begun to start medical research and patient trials of the health effects of CBDs.  Many trials are in place and will take time to draw conclusions but so far the outcomes are very impressive and supportive of CBD use with these diseases and more.

We do know that CBDs are a very powerful anti-inflammatory.  They also show neurogenesis and neurotrophic support becoming a very powerful natural treatment for neurological disorders with minimal to no side effects.  All current small trials show extremely positive results for patients with neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and epilepsy.

Why is CBD oil better than other pharmaceutical drugs?

The #1 benefit to CBD oil over pharmaceutical drugs is NO LIVER DAMAGE over long-term use.  The second benefit or it might be a fight for #1 is CBD oil is NOT ADDICTIVE.

CBD oil repairs damage rather than masking symptoms.  This is especially important in pain management.  Opioid medications do not repair the root cause of pain and cause very harmful side-effects.  It just makes the pain tolerable.  You need to increase your dose as you continue to manage your pain with opioids increasing damage to your liver and other aspects of your life.  CBD oil does not need to be increased for effectiveness.

Transitioning from pharmaceutical drugs to CBD oil is surprisingly easy with little to no withdraw.  The trick is to titrate down pharmaceutical dose as you slowly introduce and increase CBD oil dosage.  Find your local naturopathic doctor and they will advise you accordingly.  They are the experts and fully support pure CBD oil over pharmaceutical drugs.  Pharmaceutical drugs are finally being seen as more harmful medications than natural drugs or alternative medicines that have been suppressed from the public for decades.

More than 115 people die EVERY DAY from opioid overdose.  Opioid addiction is now known as an American CRISIS.  80% of patients who first used opioids as pain management end up using heroin.  NONE of these patients has been educated on CBD oil for pain management before their opioid prescription.  Patients are not aware of the risks when they enter pain management and are not aware of healthier non-addictive natural alternatives that actually can reverse many of their problems.

Where is CBD oil legal and still illegal?

Pure hemp-derived CBD oil is legal in all states extracted from hemp plants containing less than 0.3% THC concentration.  It is important to know not all CBD oil is made the same and they may contain different concentrations of THC depending on their purpose.  We will discuss the purest CBD oil containing less than the 0.3% THC concentration next.

UPDATE:  Due to this confusion between Cannabis plant species, most states that offer medical marijuana cards and are illegal recreationally have made it clear that ALL CBD oil is now illegal unless you have a medical marijuana card and obtain your CBD oil from a dispensary.  CBD oil with less than the 0.3% THC is NOW defined under marijuana laws.  States are claiming the Cannabis genus instead of the species now fall under marijuana drug laws.  However, the CBD oil conspiracy will be going to the supreme court and all of us are currently waiting for the supreme court ruling.

There are 4 states left that CBD oil with larger amounts of THC is illegal.  Their laws are also still very unclear on the whole hemp discussion.  These states include Kansas, Idaho, Nebraska, and South Dakota.

There are 8 states where all things marijuana including CBD oil of all types are completely legal for recreational and medicinal use.  You don’t need a prescription for any product coming from hemp from these states:  Alaska, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.

29 states fully legalize the use of CBDs and medical marijuana use with a prescription include:  Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington and West Virginia

This leaves 17 states that have specific CBD concentration usage for specific conditions and other state-specific laws: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

This state separation can make knowing if you are doing the right thing with your natural health path a bit cumbersome.  There is hope in the next 5 years that all states will be at the least be legal for medical marijuana and CBD use.  It all depends of course but the more time we have to release studies proving the benefits compared to pharmaceutical drugs, the more support for the legalization in all states.  The problem lies within the agendas of who we elect and the lobbyists.

Where can you order the purest CBD Oil?

Note:  We only recommend people living in the 8 states where Cannabis products are sold recreational and whole plant extracts are legal to purchase our recommended products online.

Marijuana bred from Cannabis plants have been grown for years illegally.  Now that it is becoming legal to grow and grow the hemp strain with less THC, new growing processes are taking place.  The knowledge of pesticide and herbicide also needs to be taken account while growing for the purest form of hemp-derived CBD oil.

The same concept applies when shopping for vegetables.  The goal is to find organically grown and pure forms of hemp.  Don’t forget CBD oil can be found with different concentrations of THC.  The THC can help people also with ailments but we’re talking about pure CBD oil that does NOT have the psychoactive effects from THC.  We recommend pure CBD oil with less than 0.3% THC concentration grown organically.  This oil can be found from NuLeaf Naturals.

NuLeaf Naturals have many options to choose from and you will find they test their products to ensure purity and are one of the first companies to start growing hemp plants organically and strive for the best quality medicine.  Each CBD oil they offer have thousands of amazing reviews so you know you are getting what you pay for and more.
